In 2006, Atkinson Elementary School had the lowest achievement scores of any elementary school in Kentucky. It also had low morale and serious discipline problems. The principal, Dewey Hensley, and his staff, implemented a number of reforms that have resulted in dramatic improvements in both student achievement and behavior. One of those was the addition of our mentoring through the ballroom dance program, Success For Life Ballroom. Enjoy the following video to see some of those results!
